DIGITAL PUBLICATIONS
Viacom: The Aggregate
B2B digital publication for sales and marketing professionals, as a value-add for employees at a large international media company and their colleagues at other organizations. Original content tracked marketing trends of all sorts, in multiple mediums and genres. I directed and managed this project from soup to nuts.
Savvy: The Watercooler
Digital publication for female job-seekers ages 25 – 40, for a small tech startup making an app to match women with jobs. Socially inclusive mandate, with original content about money/compensation, networking, resumes and interviewing, being a manager/being managed, tools/processes for time and work management, profiles of women innovating in the business world, and generally getting ahead on the job. I co-founded, directed, and managed this project in its entirety.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE, CONTENT WRITING, COPYWRITING
Website for independent film producer and financier L.A. Teodosio (AWOL, LOVE IS STRANGE, THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON). I designed the site’s content structure and flow, then wrote it, coordinating with the talented and easy to work with graphic designer Justin Alves.
CONTENT MARKETING CONSULTING
Liz Gold of Rhino Girl Media, Devra Polack of Spinster Design, and I teamed up to create a 2018 marketing roadmap for this small company. We reviewed everything from tech to communications to content, devising a straightforward plan to take SBC’s business to the next level. I covered the content angle.
FEATURE JOURNALISM
Some things I enjoy writing about: non-cash markets; the places where marketing fails to reach its intended audience; baby/kid stuff.
BRANDED CONTENT
I spent three+ years as a writer/editor at Viacom’s creative services agency; my primary focus was managing The Aggregate, and I also worked on pitches, executions, and case studies for clients like Pepsi, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and more. We also worked with clients internal to Viacom, and I worked on all manner of script writing, case studies, taglines, product packaging, and basically any surface that required a story.

EDITING
Made to Hear: Cochlear Implants and Raising Deaf Children
I had the immense honor of editing Laura Mauldin’s book, which documents the way mothers navigate their children’s cochlear implant processes, from newborn hearing screening tests through the post-implant adjustment experiences. This groundbreaking book sold out its first printing and a second is now underway.
